I have tried two versions of Nero, and Windows native software with the same result. With Nero, maybe 10 minutes are burned successfully; with Windows, the software doesn't even see a new blank CD in the drive. However, I can still burn data CDs. Help with slide show
I can copy one file at a time that doesn't give the corruption error to another small drive and burn to cd. But I can't copy a folder to another drive if there are corrupted files within. I have not yet attempted reformatting the drive as I am hoping a fix to retrieve files that weren't backed up.
